Machine Tool Science LLC is a machine tool service and sales company based in Gaffney, South Carolina. We provide CNC repair, spindle service, machinery rebuilds, calibration, preventative maintenance, and a full range of technical services to manufacturers across the Southeast.
We work on-site at your facility or in our shop, and we cover Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Whether you need emergency response the same day or a structured annual maintenance program, our technicians are factory-trained and equipped to handle it.

We diagnose before we quote. Every repair starts with fault isolation so you know exactly what's wrong and why before a single part is ordered.
Field service at $155/hr. Shop work at $155/hr. Travel billed at $80/hr to and from, plus $0.64/mi. No surprise billing.
We come to your facility or you bring the work to us. Either way, you get the same calibrated instrumentation, factory-trained technicians, and documented results.
Call or text any time. After-hours and weekend emergency response is available. If your machine goes down outside business hours, we're still reachable.
CNC controls, servo drives, spindles, ballscrews, hydraulics, PLCs, ladder logic, laser calibration, and more. We cover more ground than a typical field service shop.
Every service visit produces a written record. Calibration reports, PM logs, repair findings, and accuracy data are delivered as part of the job, not an add-on.
